Spring litter pick in North Lodge Park

Local residents, Cllr Dawn Storr and County Durham and Darlington PCC Ron Hogg joined Jenny in North Lodge Park this morning on a litter picking spree.

Volunteers across the town have hit the streets in a mass effort to keep Darlington's roads, pathways and parks litter free.

Jenny and others spent the morning removing general waste across the park, including the children's play area. Jenny said:

It's really great to spend the morning keeping our streets clean, particularly alongside local residents who love their community and feel immense pride in where they live.

Monthly community litter picks are being organised across the borough, if you would like to get involved you should contact your local councillor. If you would like more information or want to arrange you own event you can follow the link by clicking here
