SOS campaign comes to Pierremont ward

Jenny Chapman was out in Pierremont ward in Darlington with members of the community to let residents know about the potential downgrading of services at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Jenny was on the doorsteps of her constituents on Saturday morning with SOS leaflets and petitions.

The people of Darlington and beyond have shown great community spirit in pulling together to get a grassroots campaign off the ground since May 2016. The potential downgrading of services would be a huge blow to the town and would greatly impact the health and safety of residents in neighbouring towns and into the dales.

The SOS campaign team have held a number of events and stalls in Darlington, Barnard Castle and beyond to inform residents of the dangers posed by downgrades to vital health services.  Anyone wishing to get involved can contact the SOS team on Facebook here.
