A working usual

It's been a typically hectic weekend back in Darlington for Jenny... as they all are.

On Thursday morning, fresh off the train from Westminster, Jenny was out knocking on doors in the Larchfield Street area, canvassing for the re-election of Police and Crime Commissioner Ron Hogg.

Alongside her were Labour councillors Malcolm Wright and Dawn Storr, and other party volunteers. On Sunday, before catching the train back to Westminster, she was out canvassing with Ron again and joined by Labour councillorsĀ Sonia Kane, Chris Taylor and party volunteers.

Jenny also spoke to various community groups about the cuts which Darlington Council is being forced to consider because the Government has slashed its funds. She held private meetings with constituents who had asked to see her about their personal problems. She met representatives from The Bridge Project and spoke at the local party's annual meeting in the fire station meeting rooms.

And she launched a new project: recording the first of what are intended to become regular podcasts of chats with constituents, about which, more in a few days' time....!
